Day 1: Arrive in San José.

When arriving to the country you will be welcome by one of our guides who will drive you to your hotel in San José city. Depending on your flight`s arrival time, you might participate in any of the optional night activities.

Day 2: Dairy – Waterfall Hike – San José by Night

Just a few minutes away from San José we`ll be visiting Coronado rural town. Famous for its dairies and friendly people. We will be getting in touch with the local culture, we`ll go to a local dairy and then have a nice lunch. As an additional prize, we`ll be hiking to a beautiful local waterfall. By the end of the afternoon, a walk around San José city, visiting the Central Market and later heading down to a very famous neighborhood to have an especial dinner.

Day 3: Tesoro Escondido Magnificent place – Arenal

Today we will leave the city behind us in order to go to La Fortuna, home of the Arenal Volcano. On our way, we`ll pass through a very beautiful place named Bajos del Toro and we`ll have the chance to witness another wonderful waterfall and then have lunch on a local town.

When getting close to our destiny the volcano will be welcoming us as its perfect cone can be seen from the road. We will stay in Montaña de Fuego Hotel for 2 nights so you can enjoy the hot springs as well as the natural cold water pools. A delight for the whole family.

Day 4: Hike Celeste River – Arenal

A magnificent day hiking through Rio Celeste: Early in the morning right after breakfast, we`ll drive to Tenorio Volcano National Park and will hike through the Costa Rican exuberant jungle to get to the beautiful Rio Celeste waterfall. You`ll be able to tell when we get there as the water is turquoise and blue colored. Beautiful and simply unforgettable! We`ll wrap the day up with a nice lunch at a local restaurant to then head back to the hotel.

Day 5: Arenal Waterfall – Sarapiquí – Chocolate Tour

Right after breakfast we`ll go to La Fortuna Waterfall, an attraction we cannot miss. Then, after checking out we`ll have lunch at a local town in La Fortuna.

In the afternoon, we`ll be heading to a small town in Sarapiquí (2 and a half hours drive) to spend the next two nights at a Costa Rican family property so they can show us about the tico family warmth.

During the afternoon, we`ll go over the property and La Tirimbina biological reserve. They will explain all about the cocoa farming. Cocoa is the fruit chocolat comes from. We will gloat over some of this delicacy and learn why it is a Central America native product.

Day 6: Majestuosa Waterfall

After breakfast, we will spend a day full of adventures. Walking the middle of the mountain accompanied by our tour guide. He will guide us to this beautiful waterfall that hides behind the most beautiful virgin forest. Along with this, we`ll enjoy a typical lunch and then a delicious dinner at the hotel.

Day 7: Sarapiquí – Turrialba

Today we will travel to Turrialba, a town between the Caribbean and the Central Valley. Just 3 hours away from Sarapiquí, it is the perfect resting spot and great for optional activities.

Day 8: Turrialba – Dota –Salitral Waterfall

Early in the morning we will drive south to Dota. A famous region for its coffee plantations, beautiful landscapes, nice people, rural towns and also for its magnificent waterfalls that hides into the deep woods.

Once there, first thing will be finding Salitral Waterfall. Then we`ll be heading to Glamping to spend the next two nights. There, the hotel personnel will treat us like family. The warmth tico way.

Day 9: Providencia – Cooking Lessons

Today we`ll wake up early in the morning to find the Providencia Waterfall, a truly jewel of the town. Continuing with our rural experience we`ll receive typical cooking lessons from a local family.

Day 10: Dota – Manuel Antonio – Nauyaca Waterfall

Right after breakfast, we`ll get in our way to Manuel Antonio beach making a stop to check one of the most amazing waterfalls in the Costa Rican Pacific: the Nauyaca Waterfalls.

Day 11: Private Reserve in the middle of the jungle

Today we`ll visit a private reserve  near to Quepos town. In this reserve, we`re not only walking around and checking the forest wonders.  And as a reward, after enjoying a nice typical lunch, we`ll take a walk to find the awesome waterfall gazer.

Day 12: Fly back home

Today the shuttle to the Juan Santamaría International Airport is included. It is a 3 hour drive. Check in 3 hours before your scheduled flight home.
